Rosso Verona
The Italian red marble, Rosso Asiago, also known as Rosso Verona Marble, is a historical Italian marble of high quality, solid and compact, suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. It is used for various applications, such as flooring, wall cladding, stairs, kitchen and bathroom tops.
It is a natural, strong and durable material that retains its beauty over time. Rosso Verona or Rosso Asiago is characterised by numerous dark red, brick red, and lighter, veined spots typical of Asiago red marble.
Origin and characteristics of Rosso Verona Marble
Rosso Verona Marble, or Red Asiago, is a limestone marble that formed in a marine environment in the Jurassic period, about 200 million years ago, in the area of the Asiago Plateau.
Characterised by a red colouring with marbled shades, its hues vary from very dark and deep red, burgundy, to shades ranging from orange to mahogany. Historically extracted from quarries in the Verona area, it was called Rosso Verona, while today it is mainly quarried on the Asiago Plateau in the province of Vicenza, hence the name Rosso Asiago.
Although Marmo Rosso Asiago and Rosso Verona Marble vary in colour and shade depending on the quarry, they are both part of the same stone deposit. Today, in order to offer a better product from a structural point of view and to guarantee a continuity of tone in supply, Rosso Asiago marble is marketed, considered synonymous with Rosso Verona.
Rosso Verona Marble applications and finishes
Italian red marble (Rosso Asiago or Rosso Verona), due to its quality, longevity and variety of colours ranging from light red to dark red, from bright-red to a red-brown opaque, is very popular for outdoor floors. Due to its high resistance to weathering and low temperatures, it is often used in outdoor applications, where it remains unchanged for many years.
Ethos Finish: Bush-hammered coarse antique, as in traditional craftsmanship, and subsequently softened by light brushing, it simulates the effect of the wear and tear of time, making it perfect for luxury residences.
Rosso Tumbled: Available in both antiqued classic and modern formats, it lends a timeless charm to rooms.
Rosso di Verona, Rosso Asiago, is the red marble par excellence, one of Italy’s most famous and world-renowned ornamental rocks. It is often combined with other valuable natural red stones, such as Persian red travertine, for highly valuable floor and wall coverings.
Due to its durability, resistance and ease of maintenance, Italian red marble, Rosso Verona Asiago, can be used in various interior applications as marble for flooring (living room floor, bedroom, kitchen, basement …), cladding (bathroom wall cladding), kitchen tops, tables, stairs, shower trays, as well as exterior applications such as villa floors, stairways, urban furnishings. Red marble is processed by SENINI STONE in different finishes: tumbled antique, brushed patinated, sandblasted, bush-hammered, waterjet, glossy polished or matt honed. Italian marble, very much linked to tradition, with a very intense and warm orange-red colour for prestigious achievements, is usually requested in antiqued floor finishes such as Rosso Verona Tumbled and Rosso Verona Brushed Patinated, a sector in which SENINI STONE is a leading Italian company with experience in marble processing since 1996 and appreciated for its strong customer care. It offers tailor-made solutions for every style requirement.

The antique tumbled finish, available in different formats (100×100mm – 150×150mm – 200×200mm – 305×305mm – 400×400mm) (4×4 inches, 6×6 inches, 8×8 inches, 12×12 inches, 16×16 inches) is a widely used finish (mainly in rustic settings) for both interior and exterior use.
